How to Defrost Like a Pro (and How Long Your Meat Lasts)

We get it—some nights, you’re super organised and pull something out of the freezer the night before. Other nights, it’s 5pm and you need dinner fast. We’ve got you covered.

How Long Does Our Meat Last?

Our meats are snap-frozen at peak freshness, locking in nutrients and flavour.

  • Freezer: Up to 24 months (yep, that long! We’ve had meat in our deep freeze at home for 7 years and the cryovacc-ing is still tight and it’s still good!)

  • Fridge: Up to 7 days once defrosted

Basically, you’ve got plenty of time to decide what’s for dinner.

How to Defrost—Fast or Slow

Since all our meats are cryovac-sealed, they’re super easy to thaw when you need them.

In a hurry? Run the sealed pack under cold running water for a quick defrost.
Need it in an hour? Pop it in a bowl of cold water, changing the water every 30 minutes.
Thinking ahead? Leave it in the fridge overnight for a slow, even thaw.

Can I Refreeze My Meat?

Absolutely. We never freeze and defrost during production, so if you take something out, change your mind, and put it back in the freezer, it’s totally fine.

And if your order arrives slightly defrosted, as long as it’s still cold to the touch (not warm), it’s perfectly safe to refreeze.
